Swaad Corner

You can find Swaad Corner over at number 26 on Sri Aurobindo Street. We are situated quite close to Calva College, so we see a lot of students walking by every day with their bags and books. Pondicherry has a certain pace to it, and our little corner fits right in with that. It is not a big establishment. We have just enough space for people to drop in and grab something quickly. Sometimes the street gets a bit crowded with scooters parked everywhere, but that is just part of living here. We spend our mornings getting things ready before the lunch rush starts. It is mostly just us behind the counter, handling everything from taking orders to bagging things up. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. People usually find us because they are walking to the college or living in the apartments nearby. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the fan makes a bit of noise, but it works fine for what we need. We try to keep the place tidy, though it gets messy when ten people walk in at once. It is a small business, and we take it one day at a time. We like being on this street because it feels like a real community where everyone recognizes each other after a while. No frills, just a local spot for local people to visit and get a bite.
