Soorya Restaurant

Soorya Restaurant is found at No 55, Rangapillai Street in Pondicherry. We are situated right near the Nilgiris Hotel. It is a narrow street and can get quite packed with scooters and people walking by. Our building is old, like a lot of places in this part of 605001, but we try to keep it decent inside. We do not have a big team or any fancy management. It is just us, the cooks, and the few people who help out on the floor. Every morning we get the supplies in and start the stoves. The smell of cooking fills the place pretty early on. We do not have a website or any big ads. Most people just know we are here because they live in the neighborhood or work nearby. It can get a bit sweaty in the kitchen when it is hot outside, but we just keep the fans going. We serve what we have on the menu and do not make a big fuss about it. If the fish is fresh, we have it; if not, we do not. That is how we have always done things. It is a plain, simple restaurant for regular people. We are not trying to impress anyone with decorations. We just want to make sure the plates are clean and the food is hot. It is just a small business on a busy street, trying to do things right every day.
