Shree Sai Bhavan

Shree Sai Bhavan is situated at No 470 on Vazhudavour Road in the Mettupalayam area. We are directly opposite the Pondy Bar, which is how most people find their way to us. Pondicherry is a nice place, but this part of Mettupalayam is more about the daily work and traffic. Our restaurant is a simple building with a roof that gets loud when it rains. We don't have any polished floors or expensive art on the walls. It’s just a place to get a meal. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen prepping for the morning rush. Most of our customers are people working nearby or folks living in the local streets. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just a small team of us doing everything from cooking to cleaning. Sometimes we forget to change the calendar on the wall, and the fans might squeak a little when they are on high. We just focus on keeping things moving. We don't have a mission statement. We just want to serve the food and close up on time. The road outside is always busy with buses and bikes, so there is a lot of noise. We've been here for a bit now and we know the rhythms of the street. It’s just a standard local shop doing its best every day.
