Our place is located at New No 44 on Vysial Street in Pondicherry. We are inside La Maison Tamoule, which is an old building with a lot of character. If you know where Krishna Sweets is, we are very close to that. Vysial Street is one of those places where you can really feel the history of the town. We occupy a space that feels more like a home than a typical restaurant. We have kept the old style of the building because it suits the way we cook and serve food. It is a bit quieter here than on the main commercial roads, which is something we actually prefer. We spend our mornings getting the dining area ready and checking our stock. The name is French, but the vibe is very much rooted in the local surroundings. We don't have big flashy lights or loud music playing. It is just a room where you can sit down and have a meal in peace. Most people find us while they are walking through the heritage area of Pondicherry. We don't try to be anything we are not. We just offer a space to eat that feels comfortable and honest. The kitchen team works quietly in the back, and we handle the guests ourselves. It is a small operation, and that is how we like to keep it. We just focus on the daily tasks and the people who walk through the door.
