RANGAS Multicusine Family Kitchen

Our kitchen is at No 4 Maharaja Complex, right on the Pondy Cuddalore Main Road in Pillayarkuppam. Being so close to Mahatma Gandhi Medical College means we see a lot of students and hospital staff walking by. It’s a busy road with a lot of dust and noise from the buses going towards Cuddalore or back into Pondicherry. RANGAS is just a simple family-style place where we cook a bunch of different things. We don't really stick to just one type of food because people like variety. The Maharaja Complex isn't the newest building, but it's where we’ve set up shop. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen, obviously, and it gets quite hot in there during the afternoons. We have some tables set out for families who want to sit together. It’s not a quiet place, especially during lunch hours when everyone is in a hurry to get back to the college or their jobs. We just try to get the plates out as fast as we can. There’s no big philosophy behind it; we just want to make sure people have something to eat. We deal with the usual problems like plumbing issues or slow deliveries, just like any other business on this road. It’s just us doing our thing every day in Pillayarkuppam.
