Purple Rose Garden Restaurant

Our garden restaurant is part of the Purple Hotels on Auroville Main Road in Kuyilapayam. Being a bit outside Pondicherry makes it feel a little different. The setting is quite green because of all the plants surrounding the tables. Since it’s an outdoor spot, you’re basically eating under the trees. Sometimes leaves fall down while you're eating, but we try to keep the place tidy. It’s a lot quieter than the busy streets in town. Plenty of people visiting Auroville stop by for a meal. The air feels a bit fresher out here. We have a few fans going, though mostly we just rely on the natural breeze to keep things cool. The menu is a mix of local food and other things that travelers usually like. Our service isn't the fastest because the team is small and the garden is a big space to cover. We don't mind if you sit for a long time. At night, we have small lights hanging in the trees, which looks okay. Dealing with bugs is just part of having so many plants outdoors. The road outside gets dusty, so we end up hosing down the entrance quite often. We’ve been here for a while and have seen people from all over the world pass through. It’s just a simple garden spot for a meal and some peace. We try to keep it relaxed and easy for everyone who stops by our little place.
