Poudu Poudu Beach Restaurant

We are located at No 31 on Labourdonnais Street, which is a fairly quiet part of Pondicherry most of the time. Being near the fire station means we hear the sirens every now and then, but usually, it is just the sound of the wind or the occasional motorbike going past. The beach is close enough that you can feel the humidity in the air, especially in the afternoons when the sun is really hitting the pavement. We spend a lot of our morning just sweeping out the front and getting the tables positioned right. It is a simple beach restaurant, nothing too complicated about how we run things. The building has been here for a while and shows its age in some spots, but it does the job. Most of us here have lived in this area for years, so we know the street like the back of our hand. When the weather is nice, people wander in after spending time near the water. We don't have any fancy decorations or anything, just some regular chairs and a place to sit down. The kitchen gets hot, as you would expect in Pondy, but we just keep the fans going and get on with the work. It is just a local spot for food, tucked away on this street near the fire station. We try to keep things steady and just do what we do every day without making too much of a fuss about it.
