MR Biryani

You can find MR Biryani at No 27 on Anna Salai in Pondicherry. We are right across the street from the Bata Showroom, which makes us pretty easy to spot if you are walking down the main road. Anna Salai is a very busy street with a lot of shops, so there is always people moving around throughout the day. Our shop is simple and we focus on getting the food out to people as quickly as we can. We have a few tables inside if you want to sit down and eat, but many people just stop by to pick up their orders on the way home from work. Pondicherry has a lot of different food options, but we’ve managed to carve out our own little space here. It’s not a fancy place with air conditioning and white tablecloths. It’s more of a local spot where you get your meal and enjoy it. The kitchen is always going, and the smell of the spices usually lets you know you’re in the right place before you even see the sign on the door. We’ve been here for a while now and we know many of the other shopkeepers who work nearby. Running a place on Anna Salai means we have to be quick and ready for the big lunch rush every single day. We don’t use any big or fancy words to describe what we do here. We just make biryani and serve it to anyone who is hungry. It’s a small team of us, and we just keep things running as best as we can for our customers.
