Monas Restaurant

Our place, Monas Restaurant, is located at No. 21-D on Radiar Mill Street in Mudaliarpet. We are quite close to the old AFT Mill, which is a big landmark for anyone trying to find their way around this part of Pondicherry. The 605004 area has a specific feel to it, a bit old-fashioned and busy at the same time. Our building is right there on the street, and you can hear the bikes and autos passing by all day long. Inside, the restaurant has a simple layout with tables arranged to make the most of the space we have. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going at full speed to keep the air moving for everyone. We spend a lot of our time in the back preparing things or standing by the front counter waiting for people to drop in. The street outside can get a bit dusty, so we are always wiping down the tables to keep things tidy. We know many of the people who walk past every day, like the workers from the nearby shops or the families living in the houses further down Radiar Mill Street. It’s a straightforward business where we focus on the daily tasks and making sure the food is ready when the lunch rush starts. We don’t have a big sign or anything, just our name above the door and some lights for the evening time.
