Masaani amman Restaurant

Masaani amman Restaurant is located at No 132 on M G Road in the Muthialpet area of Pondicherry. We are near the Salt & Pepper shop, which is a local landmark people use to find us. This part of Pondicherry is quite different from the touristy white town area. It’s much more about the local residents and the daily life of the city. We’ve been at this address for a long time. Our restaurant is just a simple place with no fancy frills. We have regular tables and chairs and a few fans to keep the air moving when it gets muggy. The traffic on M G Road is always there, so there is a bit of a buzz from the street all day long. We don't have a big fancy menu or anything like that. We just cook what we know. The 605003 area is where we have grown up and worked, so we know most of the people who walk past our door. It’s not a corporate business, it’s just a small family-run spot. We don't believe in using big marketing words. We just open up in the morning, clean the place, and start the cooking. Sometimes it’s quiet and sometimes it’s very busy, but we just take it as it comes. It’s an honest place where we work hard to keep things going. We don't have any plans to be anything other than a local restaurant for the neighborhood people.
