Malaysian Biriyani Centre

Our place, Malaysian Biriyani Centre, is tucked away on Kamaraj Salai in the Brindavanam area of Pondicherry. We are quite close to the Balaji Theatre, which is a landmark most people around here know well. If you are walking down the street after a movie, you can usually smell the food cooking. It is a simple setup at number 118. We do not have fancy tablecloths or a big menu that takes an hour to read. We just focus on making biryani and getting it out to the customers who are hungry. Some people take it to go, while others like to sit for a bit if there is a spot available. Pondicherry can get quite warm, so it is nice to be inside for a while. The kitchen is always going, and there is usually a lot of steam and noise coming from back there. We have been in Brindavanam for some time now, and we know most of the neighbors. It is a lively part of town, especially in the evenings when everyone is out. We just try to keep things steady and make sure there is enough food for the day. Sometimes we run out early if it is a weekend and more people show up than we expected. It is just a small local business run by regular people. We are not trying to be anything other than a place where you can get a meal when you want one.
