King Cholas Multicuisine Restaurant

You can find us at number 338 on Bharathi Street, right in the middle of the Pondicherry Bazaar area. We are pretty close to where the road cuts across at Needarajapaiyar Street. It is a very hectic part of town, especially on the weekends when everyone is out shopping for clothes or groceries. The restaurant has been here for a bit, and we try our best to keep things moving. Since it is a multicuisine place, the kitchen is always a bit chaotic with different pots and smells going all at once. We do not have those fancy waiters in white gloves, just the regular guys who know the menu well and can carry three plates at a time without dropping anything. The building itself is okay, nothing too modern, but it stays cool enough when the breeze comes off the street. We spend our mornings getting the vegetables sorted and making sure the floor is scrubbed down before the lunch crowd shows up. Sometimes it gets so crowded in here you can barely hear yourself talk over the noise, but that is just part of being in the bazaar. We have some wooden chairs and tables that have seen better days, but they do the job just fine. If you are walking around the market, you will probably see our sign right near the corner. It is mostly locals who come in, though we get tourists too since we are not far from the main spots.
