Jubilee Sweets & Restaurant

We’ve been here on Rue Dupuy Street for a while now. Most people know us because we’re right near Gingee Salai, which is always busy. At Jubilee Sweets & Restaurant, we just focus on making food and sweets that people in Pondicherry actually want to eat. It gets pretty hot here, so people come in to sit down and have a bite. We don't do anything fancy. The kitchen stays busy from morning till late evening. Sometimes the tables are full and you have to wait a bit, but that's just how it goes in a small place. Our staff mostly live nearby, so they know the regulars. We make our sweets fresh every day because they don't taste right if they sit around. There’s a lot of traffic out on the street, but once you step inside, it’s a bit quieter. We try to keep things clean and tidy, though it’s an old building. People stop by on their way home to pick up a box of something sweet for their kids. We use the same recipes we’ve had for years. It’s not a big corporate chain or anything like that. Just a local spot where you can get a meal without spending too much money. We’re at number 38, and you can usually smell the cooking from the corner. It's just us doing what we know how to do, serving the neighborhood every day.
