Jo Family Restaurant

Jo Family Restaurant is right on Laporte Street in the White Town area of Pondicherry. If you walk around here, you know it is a bit quieter than the rest of the city. We have been in this spot at No 10 for some years. It is an old building, typical for this part of town. We mostly see families coming in during the weekends. During the week, it is just locals who live nearby or work in the small offices around White Town. The street is narrow so parking is always a bit of a headache for people. We try to keep things organized but sometimes it gets crowded. I usually stand by the door and see who is coming. My wife stays in the kitchen mostly. We have a few staff members who have been with us since we started. They know how we like things done. It isn't a big place with air conditioning everywhere, just a few fans going. The walls are painted a light color to keep it feeling cool. We get a lot of tourists because of the location, but we treat everyone the same. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. People just find us by walking past or hearing about us from their neighbors. It is just a regular restaurant where you can sit and talk without too much noise.
