Ashirbad Poultry & Layer Farm Private Limited

Our place is located in Chakdah at Nadia, specifically over on N. S. Road at the house of Pratima Debi. Ashirbad Poultry & Layer Farm Private Limited is mostly about the birds and the daily routine of running a farm. It’s not a quiet job because the chickens are always making noise early in the morning before the sun is even fully up. We spend a lot of time checking on the layers and making sure they are fed and okay. Kamal Kumar Bhattacherjee is around often to see how the work is moving. The area here in Nadia is quite nice for this kind of work because it’s not as crowded as the big cities. We have our regulars who come by for what they need and we know most of the people on our street. The building is just a normal structure that works for a poultry business. Some days are harder than others particularly when it rains a lot and the road gets a bit messy. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or anything like that. Most people just know us from being in the neighborhood for a while. We have a small staff and we all pretty much do a bit of everything from cleaning to moving crates. It’s manual work and it keeps us busy from dawn until we close up in the evening. We just focus on keeping the farm running without any fuss or trying to look like something we are not.
