Vivekananda Cabin

Vivekananda Cabin is at 14C in the Lansdowne Market area of Bhowanipur. This part of Kolkata has a lot of history and we are glad to be a small part of it. The cabin is an old-fashioned kind of place which is something you do not see as much these days. We have the wooden partitions that give people a bit of privacy while they eat their snacks or have their tea. It is not a place with air conditioning or bright neon lights. We keep things pretty much the way they have been for years because that is what our regulars expect when they walk in. The kitchen is small and we stick to the things we know how to make well. Bhowanipur is a busy neighborhood and we get a lot of people stopping by after they finish their shopping at the market. We are usually busy in the evenings when the weather cools down a bit and everyone wants a hot drink. It is not a fancy setup at all. The tables are a bit worn and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint soon. We just focus on serving the food and making sure the tea is strong. It is a quiet kind of life running a cabin like this. We know many of our customers by name because they have been coming here since they were young. It is just a local spot for a quick bite.
