Bar-B-Q Restaurant

Our place, Bar-B-Q Restaurant, is sitting right at 43 & 47 Park Street. If you know Kolkata at all, you know that Park Street is the place to be, especially when the sun goes down. The area has a lot of history, and we are right in the middle of it in the 700016 district. Running a business here means dealing with a lot of people and a lot of noise every single day. We spend our mornings getting the dining rooms ready and making sure the kitchen has everything it needs. It’s an old building, so there is always something that needs a little bit of fixing or looking after. We don't have any flashy signs or anything like that; the address on the door is enough. The sidewalk outside is always packed with people walking to work or just out for a stroll. We see a lot of different faces every day. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the pace of Park Street, but we’ve been doing it for a while now. We just focus on the day-to-day tasks like cleaning the floors and prepping the food. There isn't much time for anything else. It’s a practical, honest way to spend the day, and we like the energy of the street. Even when it’s raining hard and the street is flooded, we’re usually here getting things ready for whoever might walk through the door later on.
