Testy Corner Restaurant

Our little spot, Testy Corner Restaurant, is located at 22 Rifle Range Rd in Ballygunge. We are right near Lohapool, which is a well-known spot around here. This part of Kolkata has its own charm, with narrow roads and lots of old buildings. The zip code is 700019. We aren't a big, flashy restaurant. It’s just a small place where we cook the food we know how to make. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen. It’s noisy and small, but we make it work. The staff here are all local people who live nearby. We know the neighbors and they know us. Sometimes the street outside gets really crowded, especially during festivals. We just keep the doors open and the stove going. We don't have a fancy menu with things you can't pronounce. It’s simple stuff. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the fans squeak sometimes, but we keep the place tidy. We’ve been here for a while and seen the neighborhood change. People come in for a quick bite or to take something home. We don't do anything special for marketing; word of mouth is usually enough. It’s a tough business, and the hours are long, but it’s what we do. We like being part of Ballygunge. It feels like home to us. Just a corner shop for the locals.
