Paul

Our little spot called Paul is right on Dum Dum Road in the Motijhil area of Kolkata. Being so close to the Municipality Office means there are always people walking past the door, looking for something or just heading to work. The street is usually loud with horns and the sound of the trams or buses further down. We’ve been here for a while now, just doing our thing in this corner of the city. The building isn’t new, and you can see the age in the walls, but it’s where we are. Every morning starts with opening up the front and seeing who is already out and about in 700074. Kolkata has a way of being very busy and very slow at the same time, especially during the monsoon when the rain hits the road hard. We just keep the place running, dealing with whatever comes up during the day. It’s not a big operation, just a local business trying to stay on top of things. Most people around Motijhil know where we are because of the landmark. We don't spend much time worrying about how things look as long as the work gets done and the customers find what they need. It is often humid, so we keep the windows open when we can. Dealing with the daily crowd from the nearby offices keeps us on our toes from morning until we finally close up for the night. It is a lot of hours, but that is Kolkata.
