St Marys Public School

Down in Panamaram, Wayanad, you will find St Marys Public School. It is a beautiful area, very green as you would expect from this part of the state. The school itself is quite simple. We have a modest building and some space for the kids to play. Being in Wayanad, we get plenty of rain, so the kids spend a lot of time indoors during the monsoon months. The atmosphere here is very relaxed. We are not trying to compete with the big city schools. We just want to give the local children a place to learn their lessons and interact with each other. The teachers live nearby and they really know the community. It is the kind of place where everyone says hello on the street. We do not use any corporate talk here because it would not fit who we are. We are just a small-town school doing our bit. The desks are a bit old, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint every now and then, but the kids do not seem to mind. They are more interested in their games and their friends. We keep things running smoothly and focus on the daily classes. It is a quiet, honest place for kids to grow up. We do not have a social media manager. If there is an announcement, we usually just tell the kids to tell their parents or we send a note home in their school bags.
