Pavannoor Alp School

If you go down the Mayyil Iritty Road in Kannur, you will find us in Kuttiattoor. It is a small lower primary school. We work with the little ones who are just starting out. The school is right there in Mayyil. It is a green area, with plenty of trees around, which is nice when it gets humid. We have a few classrooms and some space for the kids to run around. Since they are young, there is a lot of noise and energy. The teachers here are mostly from the local area. They know the families well. We follow the basic routine of lessons, lunch, and play. The building is simple. We don't have much in the way of high-tech equipment. It is more about the basics. We spend our days teaching them to read and write. Sometimes we have small events for the community, but mostly it is just the daily school cycle. The buses and cars go by on the road outside all day. We keep the gate closed so the little ones stay safe inside. It’s a humble place. We don't put out big advertisements or anything. People just know we are here. When the school day ends, the parents are waiting at the gate. It has been this way for a long time. Just a regular school life in a small corner of Kerala. We keep the place clean and do our work.
