Graceous English Medium School

Our school is located in Pavanoormotta, which is a bit of a way from the main Thaliparambu town. If you’re heading towards Mayyil, you’ll find us easily enough. It’s a pretty quiet spot in the Kannur district, which is nice because there isn’t too much noise to distract the kids during their lessons. We started with just a few rooms and over the years, we’ve added a bit more space as more families moved into the area. It’s a basic English medium setup. We don’t have all the high-tech gadgets you see on TV, but we have enough books and teachers to get the job done. The kids here are mostly from the local farming families or people working in the small shops around Mayyil. We see them walking to school every morning in their uniforms, and it’s a good feeling to see the community growing. The building is simple, and we try our best to keep it neat, though with so many children, there’s always a bit of dirt on the walls. We don’t have a fancy board of directors or anything like that. It’s just us, the teachers, and the principal making decisions day by day. We focus on the basics and try to make sure everyone leaves with a bit more knowledge than they came with. It’s a humble place, but it serves the people here in Pavanoormotta well enough.
