Kunnirikka U P School

Kunnirikka U P School is situated in Paduvilayi, right on the Thaze Chovva Mattannur Road in Kannur 670612. It’s a busy road, so there is always someone passing by or stopping to ask directions. We are an upper primary school, so we see kids of various ages coming through our doors every weekday morning. The school is a familiar sight for people living in this part of Paduvilayi. We have the usual setup: classrooms with benches and desks, a small office, and a place for the teachers to sit and have their tea. It’s a very practical environment. We don’t have much in the way of luxury, but it works for teaching. Most of the day is spent going through the subjects and making sure the kids are keeping up with their homework. During the intervals, the place gets quite lively with children running around. We have to keep an eye on things to make sure everyone stays safe and doesn't get into trouble. The building itself is older, and we do our best to keep it in good shape throughout the year. It’s a lot of work maintaining an old school, especially with the heavy rain we get in Kannur. We are just a group of people trying to provide a place for the local kids to get their education. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big titles or fancy gadgets. It’s just about the books and the students. That's how it is here.
