Elayavoor Southlpschool

Elayavoor Southlpschool is located on Thar Road in the Varam area of Elayavoor. We are up in the Kannur district, and it is a relatively quiet spot for a school. Since we are a lower primary school, we only have the younger children here. The building is not very large and fits right in with the surrounding houses. We have just a few classrooms where the children spend their time learning the basics of reading and writing. The teachers here have to be very patient because the little ones can be quite a handful. We spend our days teaching them their lessons and making sure they get along with each other. The yard is small, but it gives the kids enough space to run around during their breaks. From our front gate, you can see the traffic on Thar Road, though it is usually not too busy. We do not have a large staff, just a few of us who handle everything from teaching to administration. The classrooms are often decorated with drawings made by the students. We do not have any high-tech equipment or large halls. It is a very modest setup meant for the local children before they move on to the bigger schools in Kannur. We have been here in Varam for a long time and are just a small part of the local community. Every day brings something new with the kids, but we just stick to our routine.
