Kuttiattoor Alp School

We are situated on the Kuttiattoor Temple Kararamb Road. It is a quiet part of Kannur, away from the main city rush. The school is very close to the temple, so we often hear the temple bells or the music during festivals. It is a basic building, nothing too fancy. We have a few classrooms that look out over the greenery. The road outside isn't very wide, so we have to be careful when the kids are arriving or leaving. Most of the children come from the houses scattered around the village. They carry their bags and umbrellas, especially during the long rainy season we get here. The school has been around for quite a while. You can tell by the way the wood on the doors has aged. We have a small area where the kids eat their lunch. It is always a bit messy after they finish, so we spend time sweeping it up. Our teachers are local people who know the families well. We don't have a big fence, just a small boundary. Sometimes a stray dog or a cow might wander near the gate. It is just a normal part of life in Kuttiattoor. We focus on the daily lessons and making sure the kids understand what they are reading. There are no big ceremonies or anything, just the regular school days. It is a place where people feel at home.
