Thattiyode A L P School

If you head down Muzhappala Road in Kannur, you’ll find us easily enough. Thattiyode A L P School has been a part of this neighborhood for quite some time. We’re one of those local schools where everyone knows everyone else. The kids come from the houses nearby, and most of the parents went here themselves back in the day. It’s a small place, nothing too grand. We spend our days teaching the basics. There’s usually a bit of noise from the playground during break times, which is how a school should be, I think. The building has seen many rainy seasons here in Kannur, so it looks a bit lived-in, but it’s sturdy. We have a few rooms and a small staff. Every morning it’s the same routine of bells ringing and children running around. We don't have a big gate or anything fancy, just the main entrance off the road. Sometimes the local cows wander nearby. It’s just a normal, everyday school for the local children. We don’t try to be anything we’re not. The address is 670613 if you need to mail something. Most people just walk here anyway. It’s a simple life for us and the students. We focus on getting through the lessons and making sure the kids stay out of too much trouble. It works for the families around here.
