Morning Star Public School

Morning Star Public School is located at number 1, Kadirur, in the Thalassery North Block. It’s a pretty green area, typical for this part of the country. The school itself is a simple structure that fits right into the surroundings. We have a small playground that gets quite muddy when the rains come, but the kids don't seem to mind it much. The building is painted a light color that has faded a bit over the years. Inside, the rooms are fairly large, and we try to keep the windows open to let the air circulate. You can hear the sounds of the nearby houses and the occasional dog barking while we’re in class. It’s a very local atmosphere here. Most of the staff live nearby, so they walk to school every morning. We don't have any of those high-tech gadgets you find in big city schools. We use chalk and boards and lots of paper. It’s how we’ve always done it. The mornings are the best time when it’s still cool and the students are just arriving with their umbrellas and bags. We have a small porch where people wait if they have an appointment. It’s not a very formal place. We just focus on the daily lessons and making sure the kids understand their work. By the time the final bell rings, everyone is ready to head home through the narrow lanes of Kadirur.
