St Vincent De Paul High School

Our school is tucked away in Adyar, not too far from the Sayadri College of Engineering. Being on this side of Mangalore, it feels a bit different than the middle of the city. We have a lot of students coming from the surrounding villages and the local neighborhood here. The walk to the school is pretty familiar to everyone around. The high school years are what we do here, so it's mostly teenagers running around the place. The days are usually long but we get through them. The building itself has seen a lot of seasons. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. People mostly know us through word of mouth or because they live right down the street. It’s a straightforward setup with classrooms, a small ground for the kids to play, and the staff room. In the mornings, you can hear the assembly from quite a distance. It's a bit of a landmark for those living near the engineering college. We keep things practical here. There are no big promises, just the daily schedule of math, science, and the rest. The weather can get quite hot in Mangalore, so we appreciate the breeze we get being out here in Adyar. It’s just a regular school where we try to keep the benches in good shape and the chalkboards clean for the next lesson. Every year a new batch arrives and an old one leaves, and we just keep the doors open for them.
