St Pious X School

St Pious X School is located in Kurunjibagh, which is part of Sullia in the Mangalore area. It’s a quiet corner of the region. The school is a simple structure, and we try to keep it clean and tidy, though with hundreds of kids, that’s a losing battle sometimes. We have the standard classrooms and a small office where we handle the fees and the paperwork. The playground is just a patch of ground where the kids run around during lunch. Monsoon rains usually make the playground muddy, but that’s just life in Sullia. We don't have air conditioning or anything like that. We just use the ceiling fans and keep the doors open for air. Teachers here are straightforward people. They teach their subjects, grade the papers, and talk to the parents when there’s a problem. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words or fancy brochures. Most people come to us because we’re the local option and we’ve been here for years. It’s a place where children learn to read, write, and do their sums. We have a small library with some old books that the kids seem to enjoy. It’s just a normal, everyday school. We do our part in the community and the kids do theirs. That’s how it works here at St Pious X. It’s simple and it works for the families around here. We just hope they leave with some good memories.
