St Waris High School

You can find us over in Kalappu, which is part of the Permannur area in Mangalore. It’s a bit of a distance from the main city center, which makes it a little quieter. We are a high school, so we mostly see the older kids from the surrounding villages and the local housing patches. The school building is an older one, with thick walls and high ceilings that help a bit with the heat. We don't have a lot of staff, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything. You might see a teacher helping out with the maintenance or the office staff helping organize the playground. We don't have a polished look or a big website. People in Permannur just know us because we’ve been here for so long. The road to the school is narrow, and it can get a bit crowded when the buses come through. We follow the standard curriculum and try to get through the syllabus on time. There is a lot of green around the area, which is nice compared to the more crowded parts of town. We just do our work, day in and day out. Students come here, they learn, they take their exams, and they move on. It’s a simple cycle that we’ve been part of for quite some time now. We just want to keep things going steadily for the families who live around this part of Mangalore.
