St Pauls Model High School

Out in Ganjimut, you’ll find St Pauls Model High School. It’s a bit of a drive from the center of Mangalore, but the location works well for the families living around Ganjimat. Since the doors opened, it's been a sturdy building that’s seen a lot of students pass through. We have a routine here that doesn't change much. The bell rings, classes start, and everyone gets to work. We have a bit of land around the building where the kids play football or just sit during their break. We don't go for the flashy look of city schools. Instead, we focus on what matters, which is the schoolwork. The classrooms have big windows to let in the breeze, which is nice when it gets humid like it does here. Sometimes the rain hits the roof so hard you have to raise your voice to be heard. The teachers have been here a long time and they know the families in the area well. It’s a community school. We don't have a lot of extra money for decorations, so the walls are mostly covered in student drawings and old maps. It’s a practical place. We aim to get the kids through their high school years without too much fuss. People here are hardworking, and we try to reflect that in how we run things. Just a normal school doing its job every day. It works out for everyone in the end.
