Sindhu Ice Cream

Sindhu Ice Cream is tucked away at No 18 G in Santhi Nagar, over in the Kumanan Chavadi area of Iyyappanthangal. We’ve got our setup here where we keep everything cold and ready for the day. It’s not a fancy ice cream parlor with bright neon signs; it’s more of a local spot where people know they can get a cool treat. We have the big freezers humming all day long, which makes the room stay a bit chilly compared to the heat outside. During the summer months, it gets incredibly busy and we’re constantly moving boxes and checking the temperatures. Most of our visitors are kids from the neighborhood or people living nearby in Santhi Nagar who want something for their families. We keep a variety of the usual flavors that everyone likes. Sometimes the delivery truck is a bit late because of the traffic on the main road, and we have to scramble to get things organized. It’s a straightforward business. We don’t spend money on fancy uniforms or big posters. We just make sure the freezers stay running and the ice cream is cold when someone wants it. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes with all the empty cartons, but we clean up as we go. It’s a nice way to spend the day, especially when you see people happy to have a cold ice cream on a hot Chennai afternoon.
