You can find us at Shop Number 4 inside Anmol Arcade on L.B. Road. Being in Adyar means there’s never a quiet moment outside the door. The traffic on L.B. Road is pretty much constant from morning until late at night. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass counters and making sure everything is stocked up for whoever walks in. It gets really busy in the evenings when people are heading home from work or finishing up their shopping nearby. We have a small team here and most of us live close by so we walk or take a short bus ride in. The space isn’t huge but we make it work by keeping everything organized in the back. Sometimes the fridge acts up or the lights flicker when the power fluctuates, which is just part of running a shop in this building. We usually have the radio on in the background to drown out the sound of the horns outside. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and talking to customers all day. We try to keep things simple and just focus on what’s in front of us. Some days are slower than others, especially when it rains and nobody wants to be out on the road. We just sit there and wait for the weather to clear up so we can get back to business. It’s a decent place to spend the day.
