Arun Ice Cream Knick Knacks

We are located at No 40 on Ramaswamy Salai, right in the heart of K K Nagar. The shop is called Knick Knacks, and while we sell a few different things, the Arun Ice Cream freezer is what most people come in for. It’s a residential neighborhood, so we get a lot of families. I’ve lived around here for years, so opening this spot felt like a natural thing to do. The space is small, and we’ve packed a lot into it. It can get a bit cramped when three or four people are trying to look at the flavors at once. I usually sit behind the small desk near the door. Ramaswamy Salai is a busy road, and the sound of horns is just part of the background music for us. We open early and stay open until fairly late because that’s when people want their dessert. Sometimes the inventory gets a bit mixed up, or I forget to order enough of the chocolate cones, but we fix it by the next day. It’s just how a small shop works. We don't have a big corporate office; it’s just me and one helper who comes in the evenings. We talk to the aunties who come by after their walk in the park. It’s a friendly place. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in Chennai, just a reliable one for the folks living in K K Nagar who want something cold on a Tuesday night or a Sunday afternoon.
