Arun Ice Cream

Arun Ice Cream has its office at 5A, Vijayraghava Road, right in the T. Nagar area. T. Nagar is usually a chaotic place with all the shops, but Vijayraghava Road is slightly more tucked away. We’ve been at this address for a while. The building isn't anything special to look at, but it’s home to us. We deal with everything that goes into getting ice cream to the shops. It’s a lot of coordination with the cold storage trucks and the distributors. We have a few desks, some very busy phones, and a map of the city on the wall with all our routes marked out. It gets pretty warm in Chennai, so being in the ice cream business feels like a constant battle against the sun. We spend our days making sure the freezers are running and the stock is moving. We aren't big on corporate talk or meetings that go on for hours. Most of our conversations are quick and about the next delivery. Sometimes someone brings in some treats to share, and we take a ten-minute break. The office can get a bit cluttered with posters and old files, but we know where everything is. It’s a local team here, mostly people who have lived in the city their whole lives. We just keep our heads down and make sure the ice cream stays frozen until it reaches the customer. That’s really all there is to it.
