Anna Surabahi Vegetarian Foods

We run Anna Surabahi Vegetarian Foods from No 17, DR Devaraj Nagar. We are right on the Agaram Main Road, not too far from Bharath University in Selaiyur. Being near a university means there are always students and staff around. We focus entirely on vegetarian food. The kitchen is always humming with the sound of grinders and the hiss of pressure cookers. It is a basic setup. We have some racks for the finished food and a small area where we handle the billing. It is not a place with a lot of decorations. We prefer it that way. Selaiyur is a busy part of town, especially with all the traffic on Agaram Main Road. We just keep our heads down and cook. Some days are more hectic than others, especially when there are events at the university. We do not use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just make vegetarian meals and snacks. The staff has been here for a while, so we all know the routine. We source our lentils and rice from the same wholesalers we have used for years. It is a steady rhythm. People stop by, pick up their food, and go. We do not have a lobby or a waiting room. It is just a working kitchen in DR Devaraj Nagar doing what it does every single day.
