Our administrative office is over at No 147 on Greams Road, which is right in the Thousand Lights area. It’s a very busy street with a lot of hospitals and offices around, so there’s always people walking past the door. This isn’t the actual campus where the classes happen; it’s more for the paperwork and people coming in to ask questions. We deal with a lot of application forms, fee receipts, and general enquiries from parents and students who are trying to figure things out. The office itself is pretty simple, with some desks, chairs for people waiting, and filing cabinets everywhere. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have the fans going. It can be a little stressful when the deadlines for admissions are close, as the phones don't stop ringing and there’s a line out the door. We just try to get through the stack of papers one by one. Being in Thousand Lights means it's easy to get to, but the parking is almost impossible on Greams Road. Most people take an auto or the bus to get to us. It’s just a regular office doing regular things. We don't have any fancy displays or marketing stuff in here. It’s just a place where the administrative side of the engineering college gets handled day in and day out.
