Hyderabab Biryani

Our shop is located in Perambur on Paper Mills Road, right across from the Sub Registrar Office. It’s a busy spot because of all the people going to the office for their paperwork, so there is usually a crowd outside during the day. We focus mostly on our biryani, which we start preparing quite early so the flavors have time to set properly. The smell of the spices usually fills the whole room by mid-morning. We have been at number 332 for a while now, and the neighbors all know us by now. It’s not a very big space, so things can feel a bit tight when we have a lot of customers waiting for their parcels or trying to find a seat. We handle everything ourselves, from the heavy pots in the kitchen to cleaning the tables after someone leaves. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day, but that’s just how it goes in the food business. The traffic on Paper Mills Road can be a bit of a headache with all the bikes and buses going past, but it brings people to our door. We don’t really worry about fancy decorations or anything like that. We just make sure the food is ready and the place is open when people are hungry. Some days we run out faster than others, and then we just start cleaning up for the next morning. It's a simple routine that keeps us busy from morning until we close the shutters.
