Hotel Kalyana Bhavan Biryani

We are located right on 2nd Line Beach Road on Moore Street. Most people know this part of Parrys because it is always so busy with traffic and people going to work. We are quite close to the ICICI Bank and the LIC building over here. If you are walking around Parrys you will probably see our sign. We focus mostly on biryani. It is what we do every day. The kitchen starts early because the rice takes time to get right. It is not a very big place and it can get crowded during the lunch hour when everyone from the offices nearby comes out at once. We don't have fancy decorations or anything like that. It is just a regular spot to sit down and eat. Sometimes we run out of certain items if the day is particularly busy. We try to keep things simple. The staff has been here for a good while so they know the regulars. You might find the noise of the street coming in a bit but that is just how it is in this part of Chennai. We don't do much advertising. People usually just find us by walking past or hearing about the food from someone else. It is a practical place for a quick meal. Nothing more, nothing less. We just keep things moving and make sure there is enough food for the afternoon rush. It gets hot in the afternoons but the fans keep the air moving.
