Guru Dhaba

If you’ve ever come out of the Chennai Central Railway Station, you’ve probably seen us. Guru Dhaba is right there at No 3, E V R Periyar Salai in Park Town. We are directly opposite the station, which means we see a lot of people from all over India. It’s a very busy spot. There’s always the sound of horns and people shouting. We don't have the quietest atmosphere, but we have a lot of energy. Being in Park Town, 600003, we are right in the thick of things. The dhaba is simple. We have the usual benches and tables. We don't spend money on fancy menus or decorations. People come here because they are hungry and they want something quick before their train leaves or after they arrive. We’ve been here for years, watching the station change and the city grow around it. It’s a tough business sometimes, keeping up with the crowds, but we like it. We aren't part of any big chain. It’s just this one spot on E V R Periyar Salai. We don’t make any big claims about being the best. We just open up early and close late. If you’re passing through the station and need a bite, you know where to find us. It’s just across the road, you can't miss it. We’ve been serving travelers for a long time and we keep it simple.
