Delhi Arabia Restaurant

Our restaurant is on Angappa Naicken Street in the Parrys area of Chennai. We are at the old number 159, which is now 202, right across from the Lion City Hotel. This is a very old part of the city and the streets are quite narrow and full of people. We have a mix of local food and things from further away because that is what people around here like to eat. The building is older, so it has a certain character to it. It gets very busy during the lunch hour when the office workers from Parrys come out to eat. We have to move fast to make sure everyone gets their food before they have to go back to work. In the evenings, it is a bit slower and we have time to chat with the regulars. The kitchen smells like spices all day long. We don't have a big corporate team, just a handful of us who show up every morning to prep the meat and vegetables. It is hard work and the kitchen gets very hot, but we are used to it by now. The street outside is always noisy with bikes and carts, but once you sit down, you can just focus on your plate. We try to keep things honest and simple.
