Curry N Tandoor

We are Curry N Tandoor, located at No 15 inside Hotel Pandian on Kennet Lane. It’s right in Egmore, Chennai, directly opposite the Egmore Railway Station. Because we are so close to the station, we see a lot of travelers coming and going. The address is 600008. It’s a busy part of town with people always carrying bags and looking for a place to sit. We’ve been here for a while and the staff at the hotel are like family to us. The room isn't huge, but it's got enough space for a few tables. We keep the tandoor going for most of the day. The heat from the oven is intense, but that’s how the food gets done. We don't have any fancy brochures or big signs. People usually just wander in because they are hungry after a long train ride. Chennai is humid, so we have the fans going all the time. We aren't trying to be a five-star place. We just want to give people a decent meal before they head to their next destination. My brother handles the orders and I make sure the kitchen stays clean. It’s a lot of repetition, day in and day out. But we like the rhythm of it. If you’re coming off a train at Egmore, we are just across the street.
