Casa Picola Restaurant

We are located at No 7 on Khadher Nawaz Khan Road, which is a pretty well-known street here in Nungambakkam. Being in this part of Chennai means there is always something going on outside our windows. We’ve been running the restaurant here for some time now, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Our place isn't trying to be the most modern or trendy spot on the block. We like the way we’ve set things up, and we mostly just focus on the cooking and making sure everyone has a place to sit. The kitchen stays busy, especially in the evenings when people are out walking along KNK Road. It’s a bit of a small space, so things can feel a little cramped when it’s full, but most of our customers don't seem to mind much. We do our own cleaning and prep work every morning before we open up. It’s hard work, but we like being part of the food scene here. We aren't big on marketing or social media; we just open the doors and see who comes in. Sometimes it's regular families from the apartments nearby, and other times it's shoppers. We try to keep things consistent so you know what to expect every time you visit. If you’re walking down the street near the shops, stop by. We’re usually there from morning until late, just keeping the stove going and the tables cleared. It’s what we do.
