Board Walk Restaurant

Our restaurant is located right inside the Ramada Chennai Egmore, which sits on Gandhi Irwin Bridge Road. If you know Chennai, you know this area is always moving, especially with the Egmore station and the CMDA building right nearby. We’ve been here for a good while, serving both the people staying in the hotel and locals who just want a place to sit. It’s called Board Walk. We tried to make it a spot where you can see the city without being stuck in the middle of the noise on the street. The bridge outside can get pretty packed with traffic, but once you’re up here, it feels a bit different. We have a simple setup with tables and chairs that have seen a lot of use over the years. The staff is a small group of us who’ve been working in restaurants and hotels around Egmore for quite some time. We aren't trying to change the world here. It’s just about getting the food out and keeping the water glasses full. The evenings are usually our busiest time. The heat in Chennai lets up just enough for people to want to go out for a meal. We deal with the usual daily stuff like broken light bulbs or a leaky tap now and then, but we get it sorted. It’s just a regular local business trying to do things right for the people who walk through the door.
