Veranda Restaurant And Cafe

If you are walking down Mahaveer Mandir Road in Varanasi, you’ll see the I B Complex. We are up on the first floor. It’s a bit of a climb if you’re tired from walking through Orderly Bazar, but it’s nice once you get up there. Veranda Restaurant And Cafe started because we wanted a spot that felt a bit different from the street level. We are right near Chetmani Jewellers, which is usually where we tell people to look if they get lost. Being in Varanasi, things are always a bit loud and colorful. Our windows look out over the street, so you can watch the bikes and rickshaws while you sit. We aren't a big chain or anything. The kitchen is small, and we mostly just cook what we know. The walls have a few marks here and there, and the chairs don't all match perfectly, but it feels like home. We get a lot of students and people working nearby coming in for a quick bite. Orderly Bazar has its own rhythm, and we’ve just become part of it over the years. We spend a lot of time cleaning the floors because the dust from the road never seems to stop. It’s just me and a few others running the place. We don’t have a big fancy menu, just the usual stuff people like to eat when they’re out and about in the city.
