Anurag cafe & restaurants

If you are driving down the Babatpur main road in Varanasi, you will see us near the JCB showroom. We are right there at Patel Katara. It’s a busy road with a lot of trucks and cars going past all day. We started Anurag cafe & restaurants because there weren't many places to sit down and have a proper meal in this specific stretch. It’s not a big fancy restaurant. It’s more like a place where you can get a hot cup of tea or some basic food if you’re traveling. We get a lot of workers from the nearby showrooms and people who are just passing through. The place is pretty simple with regular tables and chairs. We don’t have a big menu with hundred items. We just make what people like to eat every day. Sometimes it gets dusty because of the road work and the traffic, but we try to keep the inside clean. My family helps out with the daily work. One of us is usually at the counter and the others are in the back. It’s a lot of work keeping it running from morning till late evening. We don’t have any fancy website or social media. We just rely on the people who stop by because they saw our sign from the road. It’s a basic life here in Babatpur, and we like being part of the local community. It gets busy during the lunch hour when the sun is high, but we manage to keep everyone fed and happy enough to move on.
