Ashiyana Restaurant

You can find us over at Major Singhs Place, which is house number 64 on Leftinent Rohan Marg. We are right there in Varanasi Cantt, not too far from the TV tower. If you look across the street, you’ll see the Hotel Radisson, which is a big place, but we are much smaller and more local. The street gets quite a bit of traffic with people coming and going from the station and the nearby hotels. We’ve been here in this building for a while now. The staff here knows most of the regulars by name, and we see a lot of travelers who are just staying for a night or two in the city. Our dining area is straightforward—tables, chairs, and good food coming out of the kitchen. We don’t have a lot of rules or a fancy dress code. It’s just a spot to sit down and have a meal while you watch the world go by on Rohan Marg. Sometimes the power goes out or the street gets blocked by a stray cow or a rickshaw, but that is just life in Varanasi. We handle the cooking and the cleaning ourselves. It is a family-run kind of vibe even if we aren't all related by blood. We keep our doors open for most of the day and into the night. It’s an honest living and we enjoy being part of the Cantt area. The TV tower is a good landmark if you get lost looking for the place, so just head towards that.
