Taste In Town Restaurant

Our restaurant is located at n8/208 Baldeo Katra on the main DLW-BHU Road in Sunderpur. We are right across from Upkar Hospital in the Newada area. It is a busy part of Varanasi with lots of students and hospital visitors walking by all day. We opened up here because there is always something happening on this road. The place itself is quite modest. We have some seating inside and the kitchen is right at the back where we do all the cooking. We serve mostly the kind of food you would expect in this part of town. Simple, filling, and not too expensive. We do not have a lot of bells and whistles. The walls have some old pictures and the fans keep the air moving during the summer. Since we are near the hospital, we get a lot of people who are just looking for a quick, quiet meal. We try to keep the noise down for them. The staff is just a few local guys who know the menu by heart. Sometimes we change things up depending on what vegetables are good at the market that day. It is not a polished corporate place at all. It is just a storefront on a busy road where you can get a hot meal. We do our own cleaning and shopping. It is a lot of work but we like being here in Sunderpur. If you are near the university, we are very easy to find.
