Sri Annapurna Restaurant & Sweets

You can find us at J 12/16 A in Ramkatora, which is right by the Dalimss School here in Varanasi. we have been in this spot for quite a while now, running both the restaurant and the sweet shop side by side. It’s a local place, nothing too special to look at from the outside. We mostly deal with people from the neighborhood and parents who are picking their kids up from the school. The sweet counter is usually the busiest part of the shop, especially in the evenings when people are heading home. We don't have a big corporate office or anyone telling us how to decorate. We just put out the tables and chairs where they fit. The kitchen stays busy all day because we make the sweets fresh right here. It gets pretty hot back there, especially in the summer months. Varanasi is a crowded city and our little corner in Ramkatora is no different. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the road and it gets a bit chaotic. We don't really have a big philosophy about what we do. We just make the food and the sweets and hope the quality stays the same every day. We see a lot of the same faces every week, which is nice. We aren't looking to expand into a giant chain or anything. We are just happy being the local spot near the school where people can get a quick bite.
