Shri Restaurant

Our shop, Shri Restaurant, is tucked away on Dashaswmedh Ghat Road in Varanasi. It is a very busy area, especially since we are so close to the Dashaswmedh Ghat itself. You can hear the bells and the crowds from the street almost all day long. We are located at Shop No 17/122 - A, and the MAA Ganga Mandir is just a little ways off from us. The road is narrow and always filled with people walking down to the river or coming back from prayers. It gets quite crowded during the festivals, but we are used to that by now. Inside the restaurant, things are pretty simple. We have our tables set up and we spend a lot of time just keeping the place tidy between the rushes. The heat in Varanasi can be a lot, so we just do our best to keep things moving. It is not a very quiet place because of the location, but it feels like part of the city. We see a lot of travelers and locals who are just looking for a seat for a bit. Being near the Ghat means there is a certain energy outside that never really stops. We just open up the doors every morning and get to work like everyone else on this street. It is just a small place in a very old part of town.
